44. ‘Parent and offspring’ class. An educational exhibit about propagation with at least 2 plants: a parent plant and a young plant that has been propagated from it by the exhibitor. Educational material written by the exhibitor should also be included, for example explaining the propagation method.
Any propagation technique can be used. More than 2 plants can be included if relevant, for example to include the seed and pollen parent, or to show propagated plants of different ages, or variation amongst seedlings.
To be displayed in a maximum area of 30 x 30 cm. Exhibitors may include a base or relevant accessories. Plants may be in pots of any sizes. Plants may share pots.
Display classes (to be judged as display classes)
45. Bowl garden: any container planted with 2 or more cacti and/or succulent plants.
46. Unusual container: 1 or more plants in any container not originally designed to be a plant pot.
47. Themed container: 1 or more cacti and/or succulents planted in a container with a creative theme. Some examples of themes include: a film, book, song, poem, TV show, work of art. Theme to be stated.
48. Miniature garden: 1 or more plants in any container with optional accessories to create a miniature garden, landscape or scene. An optional name or title may be stated.
49. A bowl garden containing plants all from the same genus or group: any container planted with 2 or more plants. For example, a Lithops garden.
