Collection (to be judged as a collection class)
47. A collection of at least 10 plants that all belong to the same species, genus, or group, or with another botanical or geographical theme. Theme to be stated.
To be displayed with the plant pots standing in a tray with the maximum internal size 39 x 24 cm. Plants may be in pots of any sizes.
Educational class (to be judged as an educational class)
48. ‘Parent and offspring’ class. An educational exhibit about propagation with at least 2 plants: a parent plant and a young plant that has been propagated from it by the exhibitor. Educational material written by the exhibitor should also be included, for example explaining the propagation method.
Any propagation technique can be used. More than 2 plants can be included if relevant, for example to include the seed and pollen parent, or to show propagated plants of different ages, or variation amongst seedlings.
To be displayed in a maximum area of 30 x 30 cm. Exhibitors may include a base or relevant accessories. Plants may be in pots of any sizes. Plants may share pots.
Display classes (to be judged as display classes)
49. Bowl garden: any container planted with 2 or more cacti and/or succulent plants.
50. Decorative pot: 1 plant in any type of decorative pot.
51. Unusual container: 1 or more plants in any container not originally designed to be a plant pot.
52. Hanging basket: any type of plant hanger containing 1 or more plants.
53. Themed container: 1 or more cacti and/or succulents planted in a container with a creative theme. Some examples of themes include: a film, book, song, poem, TV show, work of art. Theme to be stated.
Novice section
54. 1 cactus
55. 1 succulent
56. 3 cactus and/or succulents plants
Arts and crafts class (to be decided by a visitors’ vote)
57. Any cactus and/or succulent themed art or craft item made by the exhibitor. Title, name of plant(s) and medium or technique used may be stated.
